Hardware and Software System Safety

SoHaR has more than two decades of experience in the application of engineering analysis techniques to critical systems in air traffic control, aerospace vehicles, ground transportation systems, nuclear power, and process control. SoHaR has supported the development of computer-based systems in accordance with MIL-STD-882C, RTCA DO 178B, and many other standards. SoHaR representatives have participated in the standards committees of ISA SC 80 (resulting in the IEC 61508 Programmable Electronic System standard) and IEEE 7-4.3.2 (application of computers to nuclear power plants). SoHaR has been at the forefront of this area including the development of analysis methodologies for critical systems including enhanced condition tables and advanced methods based on UML and Real Time Extensions.
