SoHaR
believes that critical software and critical systems that rely
heavily on software requires the same stringent certification
and assurance requirements posed on critical hardware systems.
Software FMEA has long been a challenge for the certification
and safety community and is often left out of
the process.
SoHaR’s Software FMEA is based on a new
paradigm that makes use of object-oriented design and
development environment. Objects/classes/blocks, depending on
the specific environment or design language you use, become
equivalent to hardware components and parts allowing for the
development of structured, objective and complete FMEA.
SoHaR
has implemented the software FMEA methodology for two
environments (UML and MatLab Simulink© ) in two,
user-friendly, automated tools. The FMEA of systems designed
in other environments is based on the same methodology.
Although the process is not as automated it is none-the-less
just as structured, objective and complete. The software FMEA
is easily integrated with a hardware FMEA for an entire-system
analysis. For additional details please view our brochure
